Session 1 "Little KEEPERS" Ages 5-6 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM | Session 2 "Big KEEPERS" Ages 7-13: 3:45 PM - 4:30 PM | $10 per class per kid

Get moving in a safe, holistic environment with dynamic movements to loosen up, fun team-building games, and basic self-defense skills to feel empowered. Become part of the K.E.E.P. community!

• Open to all elementary and middle school age kids in the Verde Valley. Space is limited, so sign up for classes ahead.
• Starting: August 13th, 2024, and continuing through the school year (except holidays).
• Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Times: Session 1 "Little KEEPERS" Ages 5-6 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM | Session 2 "Big KEEPERS" Ages 7-13: 3:45 PM - 4:30 PM
• Location: Sedona Charter School (Classes take place on the grass, patio, or in the P.A.C. room depending on weather)
• Attire: Please wear comfortable workout or athletic-type clothing suitable for physical activities. No shoes, socks, body jewelry, or hats can be worn during class for safety.
• Water: Bring extra water to stay hydrated during class.
• Snack: Pack a small snack to refuel before and after class to keep energy levels up.

Welcome to the Kids Empowerment Enrichment Program (K.E.E.P.), where we blend physical activities, self-defense skills, anti-bullying education, mindfulness, and nature exploration to create a holistic learning experience for children. Today, we invite you to explore how K.E.E.P. can bring a transformative experience to your school.

K.E.E.P. focuses on empowering children through high-quality after-school programs that emphasize:

• Movement: Physical activities promoting health, fitness, and well-being.
• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Training in this powerful martial art fosters self-discipline, mental resilience, and self-defense capabilities, helping children build confidence and assertiveness.
• Anti-Bullying: Practical skills and empowerment lessons help children understand how to stand up for themselves and others, with an emphasis on kindness, empathy, and inclusion.
• Mindfulness: Techniques that enhance focus, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.
• Nature Connection: Fostering an appreciation for the environment, creativity, and a sense of responsibility.

At the core of K.E.E.P. is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), a martial art known for its focus on technique and leverage rather than size and strength. By teaching children fundamental BJJ movements—such as rolling, grappling, and escapes—they gain valuable self-defense skills that can help them in difficult situations without needing to resort to violence.

Through our anti-bullying curriculum, children will learn:

• How to assertively stand up to bullies.
• Conflict-resolution techniques that focus on de-escalation.
• Ways to build emotional resilience and foster empathy for others.

BJJ's philosophy of staying calm under pressure mirrors K.E.E.P.'s values, empowering kids to face life’s challenges with a clear mind, confidence, and a strong sense of self. This dual focus on physical and mental well-being makes K.E.E.P. a unique program for comprehensive child development.
